CHECK IT OUT!

This month we are starting a brand new feature that we are EXTREMELY excited about: the Mihmiverse Monthly Audiocast!

This monthly podcast is hosted by writer/director Christopher R. Mihm and will be focused specifically on what's going on RIGHT NOW in the Mihmiverse. In addition, Mr. Mihm will discuss the monster movie-making process, touch briefly on the future of the 'verse, pontificate on random subjects, and be joined by guests from within and without the Mihmiverse. PLUS, each episode will include something unique you can't find anywhere else!

For the inaugural episode of the Mihmiverse Monthly Audiocast (which clocks in at roughly 40 minutes), Mr. Mihm talks a bit about his next film, the currently-in-production "Danny Johnson Saves The World," goes into a little detail about his involvement in a stage musical version of "The Monster of Phantom Lake" and describes a few tentative plans for the future, including something potentially exciting revolving around his 2010 film, "Destination: Outer Space."

Also included: a classic movie recommendation directly from Derek M. Koch, host of the great classic-monster-focused podcast Monster Kid Radio and Mr. Mihm "gets his Garrison Keillor on" with a dramatic reading of "The Haunted Canoe - A Canoe Cops Adventure" written by the über-talented author (and friend-of-the-'verse) Stephen D. Sullivan!

Danny Johnson Saves The World
Following the overwhelming success of previous contribution programs for writer/director Christopher R. Mihm's last five films, contributor credits are NOW AVAILABLE for the film!

For each $25.00 donation, all contributors will be entitled to having a single name* of their choosing listed in the contributors section of the closing credits of the film, a customized, frameable document certifying their participation in the program and a choice of one (1) copy of the finished film on DVD OR one (1) collector's ticket to the film's world premiere!

DON'T FORGET! Credits can even be given as gifts and, just in time for the coming holidays, all contributors will receive a note describing your contribution, hand-signed by writer/director Christopher R. Mihm and perfect for framing and wrapping! There are few gifts as unique as your loved one's name in the end credits of a movie!

Additional DVDs of the film and/or premiere tickets may be pre-ordered as "add-ons" ($10 each) with the purchase of at least one credit.

If you'd like to contribute to "Danny Johnson Saves The World," visit the contributor page at SaintEuphoria.com by clicking HERE!

*A single credit is defined as the name of one (1) person or corporate entity. Any credit requiring the word "and," an ampersand (&), and/or a comma (except when part of a legal company name) will constitute multiple credits and MUST BE paid for separately.

NOTE: The contributor program is an "equal exchange" program, which means specifically that those participating have NO SAY in the decisions or actions taken by anyone involved in the actual production of the film and are NOT entitled to ANY possible future profits earned by the film, derivative works, and/or merchandise created for or featuring elements from the film. Becoming an contributor does not entitle the participant to ANY ownership WHATSOEVER of the finished film or associated elements.

Lobby cards are a form of movie advertising that were quite common from the early days of film, up through the B-movie-rich 1950s and '60s. Usually issued in sets of eight, each card featured a different scene from the film. These days, full sets of lobby cards are highly sought after by collectors.

After releasing lobby card sets for Mihmiverse movie favorites "The Giant Spider" and "Attack of the Moon Zombies," a new set for "The Late Night Double Feature" has been made available as an extremely-limited-run collectible!

Designed by Mr. Mihm himself, this set of eight 8.5" x 11" lobby cards depict scenes from both halves of the film and are hand-colorized and stylistically "weathered" to look extra "retro!"

$19.99 per set (FREE shipping & handling, even international!)

Thanksgiving is coming and the bird is getting fat...

In lieu of my usual recipe, this month I've decided to provide some tips to help you serve the most scrumptious and moist bird for your Thanksgiving meal!

First, instead of stuffing your turkey with stuffing (or dressing or whatever name you use to refer to it), stuff it with goodness that will keep your white meat juicy and your dark meat full of flavor.
  • Clean the bird well. DO NOT forget to remove the bag of giblets and the neck!
  • Rinse thoroughly with cold water.
  • Stuff the inner cavity with one or two onions cut into quarters, two or three cloves of garlic, one lemon cut into quarters, a generous amount of fresh or dried rosemary, more salt than you think you'll need (don't completely overdo it but don't be stingy, either) and pepper.
Next, gently separate the skin from the meat and stuff the area between with rosemary and butter.

Bake as directed based on the size of your bird.

Finally, carve and enjoy. My monster crew enjoys this particular preparation every holiday! ENJOY!
— Stephanie Mihm

Soylent Green is People!

In honor of Thanksgiving, we invite you to feast on food-related trivia questions from classic horror films.

1. (1960) In Hitchcock's "Psycho," Janet Leigh as Marian chats with Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates in his bird room while munching on what breakfast food?

2. (1962) In "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane," Jane (Bette Davis) torments her wheelchair-bound sister (Joan Crawford) by serving her a meal under a covered tray. What's for lunch?

3. (1966) "The Undertaker and His Pals" kill people and serve them up in creative ways at the local diner. Name the diner.

4. (1973) In "Theatre of Blood," Vincent Price plays a stage actor who fakes his death in order to come back and exact his revenge on all the critics who panned him when he was "alive." One critic thinks he's a guest on a cooking show and ends up being forced to eat delicious chunks of...what?

5. (1975) Damn it, Janet! During "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," guests at the Annual Transylvania Convention dine on the remains of Eddie the ex-delivery boy. Ironically, the name of the actor playing Eddie is a classic menu item. Name him!
