"The Giant Spider"
10th Anniversary Celebration Tickets
$5.00 each
The next great Mihmiverse film, "Annihilate All Humans!," is COMPLETE!

Writer/director Christopher R. Mihm has confirmed that he has finished the film and is happily putting the final touches on his self-described "flying-saucer-attack" epic! Also according to him, this film now holds the record for number of special effects shots in a Mihmiverse film, easily surpassing the previous record-holder, 2010's "Destination: Outer Space!"

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Mr. Mihm has provided us with a new still from the film (below). Based on the amount of destruction seen in last month's still, it seems obvious that the city in this image isn't going to fare much better than the Sydney Opera House! (See last month's still HERE!)

Now that "Annihilate All Humans!" is done, we can expect a release date announcement soon, with rumors swirling that Mr. Mihm is looking at the first week in August. A poster should be forthcoming and, as was promised in the "The Giant Spider" 10th anniversary celebration description above, the trailer will debut at that event.

Needless to say, we here at the Mihmiverse Monthly are beyond thrilled to see this movie and CANNOT wait until its release! As with all things Mihmiverse-related, as soon as we have more information, we'll pass it on to you as soon as possible!

Annihilate All Humans!
In "Annihilate All Humans!," the world is under attack by flying saucers and only top scientists Dr. Edwards (Mike Cook) and Dr. Gabriel (James Norgard) can put an end to their unearthly aggression! Unfortunately, they have no idea it's even happening because they've been kidnapped by General Castle (Mark Haider) and taken to a remote cabin in the deep woods for some unsolicited rest & relaxation! Can our heroes find their way back to civilization in time to stop the alien menace, or will the seemingly unstoppable space invaders succeed in their quest to ANNIHILATE ALL HUMANS!?

Just because writer/director Christopher R. Mihm has finished editing this new film, it definitely DOES NOT mean the production can't use more funds! In fact, quite the opposite! With all the previous contributions having been spent making the movie, the production now needs an influx of cash to complete the process of releasing it, including paying for the manufacture of physical media, putting together the world premiere, printing posters & collector's tickets, and much more!

For each $20.00 donation, all contributors will be entitled to having a single name* of their choosing listed in the contributors section of the closing credits of the film and a customized, frame-able document certifying their contribution! The window to contribute to the film and get your name in the end credits is quickly closing, because once Mr. Mihm has signed off on the authoring of the DVD & Blu-Ray, the movie is locked down FOREVER!

IMPORTANT! Physical media copies of the finished film are NOT automatically included with a basic contribution. If you would like to be guaranteed a DVD or Blu-Ray of the film when it is released, you MUST order it separately (with the purchase of at least one credit)!

Credits can even be given as gifts! Imagine the looks on the faces of your loved ones when they find out their names will be immortalized on the silver screen!

Separate credits by commas, & or "and."
DVDS (+$10 each)
BLU-RAYS (+$20 each)
Is your mailing address outside of the U.S.?
(All non-U.S. mailing addresses will be charged a shipping premium for physical media.)

*A single credit is defined as the name of one (1) person or corporate entity. Any credit requiring the word "and," an ampersand (&), and/or a comma (except when part of a legal company name) will constitute multiple credits and MUST BE paid for separately.

NOTE: The contributor program is an "equal exchange" program, which means specifically that those participating have NO SAY in the decisions or actions taken by anyone involved in the actual production of the film and are NOT entitled to ANY possible future profits earned by the film, derivative works, and/or merchandise created for or featuring elements from the film. Becoming an contributor does not entitle the participant to ANY ownership WHATSOEVER of the finished film or associated elements.

Welcome to the Mihmiverse Monthly feature where we talk to YOU, the fans! Every month, we choose a random Mihmivite and ask them a few Mihmiverse-related questions in an attempt to get to know them better and find out what they REALLY think about the films of Christopher R. Mihm!

This month, we interview Stu Williams!

Introduce yourself to the Mihmiverse!
My name is Stu Williams, I'm 65, and live in Valparaiso, IN. I'm retired after 38 years of working in the medical imaging industry. I've been married for nearly 42 years, and I have two boys aged 32 and 37 and have two grandkids aged 6 and 19.

When and how did you discover the films of Christopher R. Mihm?
I don't remember exactly how I discovered the films of the Mihmiverse, but it was probably through Amazon's streaming service. I do, however, remember the first Mihmiverse movie I saw, which was "Cave Women on Mars." I was instantly hooked, so I watched a couple more, specifically "The Monster of Phantom Lake" and "Attack of the Moon Zombies."

If you had to pick just ONE, which of the Mihmiverse films would be your favorite?
Since I HAVE to pick a favorite, right now it would be "The Giant Spider."

Tell us how you, in particular, show your "Mihmiverse pride!"
To show my "Mihmiverse pride," I wear my Mihmiverse T-shirts proudly and introduce the films of writer/director Christopher R. Mihm to as many people as possible.

Where would you like to see the Mihmiverse go in the future?
I would love to see Mr. Mihm continue to make independent movies. I truly enjoy watching how he's incorporated his family into his films—it's awesome! My granddaughter can watch these movies and thinks it's cool that Mr. Mihm's kids are in them!

Dinosaurs? Dino-mite! (Part II)

The history of film is filled with movies about dinosaurs, and the golden age of cheese (1945-65) was filled with "Jurassic classic" B-movies!

For the second month in a row, we're testing your "creature feature" knowledge. List #1 gives you a title and year of release. List #2 gives you a plot summary. Match 'em up correctly, and you'll become a "Legend of Lizardry!"

1. "The Land Unknown" (1957)
2. "The Giant Behemoth" (1959)
3. "Dinosaurus" (1960)
4. "Valley of the Dragons" (1961)
5. "Gorgo" (1961)

A. Greedy sailors capture a giant lizard off the Irish coast and sell it to a London circus. Then its mother shows up.
B. In 1881, two men fighting a duel are somehow whisked away to the moon by a passing comet where they discover an ancient civilization...and dinosaurs.
C. Undersea explosions in the Caribbean awaken prehistoric beasts that terrorize a nearby island, and a Neanderthal who befriends a local orphan.
D. Nuclear tests in the Atlantic Ocean alter the underwater ecosystem and awaken a dinosaur hell-bent on attacking London.
E. On a Naval expedition to Antarctica, three men and a woman discover a tropical forest filled with carnivorous plants, dinosaurs...and human footprints!

The Cyclops (1957)
Directed by Bert I. Gordon
Starring James Craig and Gloria Talbott

When a test pilot goes missing over a Mexican jungle that also happens to be home to a very large deposit of uranium, his worried fiancée charters a small plane to search for him. Unfortunately, because of the area's previously unknown high radiation levels, their plane is forced down. Now stranded in a strange valley with her three companions (one of whom is only out for the lucrative minerals), the group makes a shocking discovery: the animals in this particular area have been grossly mutated into over-sized monsters! And, most surprising of all, the woman is abducted by a dinosaur-sized, one-eyed man! Her companions set out to rescue her from the horrible creature and B-movie hijinks ensue. "The Cyclops" was written and directed by Bert I. Gordon, a '50s sci-fi/horror auteur who just recently passed away at age 100 and is best known for making "giant creature" films like "Beginning of the End" (giant grasshoppers attack Chicago), "Earth vs. The Spider" (a giant spider wreaks havoc), and "Village of the Giants" (hipster '60s teens magically transformed into lumbering giants who dance a lot and take over a small town). There were few 1950s-era filmmakers who knew how to do what Mr. Gordon could do so effectively, and, in my opinion, the world is better off because of his singular talents. Compared to some of his other classics, "The Cyclops" admittedly, wasn't his best effort, but it is certainly worth checking out. Personally, I like the film, and if you're a fan of 1950s creature features, you owe it to yourself to see it!

If you're like most people these days, you tend to stream your favorite TV shows and movies, particularly because it's way more convenient and you have access to them in more places! Did you know there are now several places to stream the entire Mihmiverse catalog?

The ENTIRE filmography of writer/director Christopher R. Mihm (including the recently-released "The Phantom Lake Kids in The Day the Earth Abruptly Almost Ended") is available through the Mihmiverse Vimeo VOD portal!

Every film is presented using the same ultra high-quality renders used for the official Blu-Ray releases and actually feeds video content to the Drive-in Monsters Roku channel. Most importantly, the Mihmiverse Vimeo VOD portal is the ONLY PLACE to legally own the films digitally!

Retro-style monster movies from the wild & weird imagination of cult filmmaker Christopher R. Mihm! From giant, rampaging spiders to alien invasions and bug-eyed horrors, the Drive-in Monsters channel includes the entire catalog of Mr. Mihm's films, exclusive extras, and long lost special features originally released on currently out-of-print physical media! Explore the worldwide underground cult phenomenon known as the "Mihmiverse" and enjoy the rebirth of the golden age of "drive-in cinema" with the Drive-in Monsters channel!

As of right now, the channel is free... but, that most likely will not last forever! So make sure to enjoy the Drive-in Monsters Roku channel while it's still completely free of charge!

Most of the films of the Mihmiverse are available on Amazon Video. Sadly, as Amazon continues to revise and rewrite its policies, they have downgraded the entire Mihmiverse catalog from "available with Prime" to rental only. Though this wasn't entirely unexpected—given the way the service has been slowly ridding itself of the films of Christopher R. Mihm—we CANNOT guarantee they will still be there on any given day! So, if Amazon is your preferred place to watch the Mihmiverse, enjoy it while it lasts!

NOTE: Amazon has barred writer/director Christopher R. Mihm (and MANY other independent filmmakers) from adding any new films to their service. As far as we have been able to figure out, the service is taking a more "curated" approach to its catalog and, unfortunately, does not have any more room for the cheesy goodness of the Mihmiverse! Therefore, if you're interested in watching the newest films of the Mihmiverse, we highly recommend checking out the Mihmiverse Roku channel, Drive-in Monsters!
Mihmiverse DVDs & Blu-Rays are now available at SaintEuphoria.com, the online home of the films of Christopher R. Mihm. In addition, exclusive movie posters, collectibles and other merchandise are now in stock. Everything is available in extremely limited quantities, so get yours today before they run out!
