This year, give the most unique gift of all: contribute to writer/director Christopher R. Mihm's next film, "Danny Johnson Saves The World," and dedicate it to your loved one!
For each small equal exchange* monetary investment of just $25.00 (per credit), all contributors will have a credit of their choosing listed in the closing credits of the film and receive one (1) copy of the finished film on DVD OR one (1) collector's ticket to the world premiere and a customized, frame-able document certifying their participation! AND, additional DVDs of the film and/or premiere tickets may be pre-ordered as "add-ons" ($10 each) with the purchase of at least one credit!
Is there anything more unique or thrilling than giving the gift of your loved one's name on the big screen!? PLUS, order before December 20th and you'll receive a special, perfect-for-framing-and-wrapping, hand-signed letter from writer/director Christopher R. Mihm himself!
NOTE: A single credit is defined as the name of one (1) person or corporate entity. Any credit requiring the word "and," an ampersand (&), and/or a comma (except when part of a legal company name) will constitute multiple credits and MUST BE paid for separately.
* The contributor program is an "equal exchange" program, which means specifically that those participating have NO SAY in the decisions or actions taken by anyone involved in the actual production of the film and are NOT entitled to ANY possible future profits earned by the film, derivative works, and/or merchandise created for or featuring elements from the film. Participation in the contributor program does not entitle the participant to ANY ownership WHATSOEVER of the finished film or associated elements. In essence, all contributors are pre-ordering an equal exchange's worth of merchandiseand nothing more. |

The latest episode of the Mihmiverse Bonfire Podcast is now available for download!
The "polar vortex" has returned to Minnesota and with it, the temperature has dropped below freezing, thus forcing the Mihmiverse Bonfire Podcast crew to bring the festivities back indoors. Fortuitously, hosts Rhuby 'n' Hater and perma-guest writer/director Christopher R. Mihm welcome the first-ever over-the-phone guests: horror host (and good friend of the 'verse) Dr. Bob Tesla and his sidekick Nurse Feratu (of Midnight Monster Movies with Dr. Bob) and their "handlers," Bob and Melanie Gilbert.
Midnight Monster Movies with Dr. Bob: Having evacuated his old lab under a theater to an undisclosed location on the OSU campus, Dr. Bob Tesla still needs to provide a free movie every month to keep his lab space going (stupid contracts). Shows start every second Saturday at 11:30 pm with a chapter of a film serial and classic trailers. Tickets are FREE!
Click here to download part 1 Click here to download part 2
The Mihmiverse Bonfire Podcast will be released on or around the 15th of every month. Moderated by hosts Rhuby 'n' Hater, this free-to-download monthly audiocast offers exclusive news, interviews with the folks who make the Mihmiverse possible, shameless self-promotion, and original recurring content!
If you'd like to ask a question of the hosts, writer/director Christopher R. Mihm, or any of the show's upcoming guest(s), click HERE to submit your queries! If we like them, we may even include them in a future podcast! OR, you can "like" the Mihmiverse Bonfire Podcast page on Facebook and "participate" by posting to the podcast's wall during recording!

'Tis the season to eat and eat (and eat)!
Here is a healthy alternative for your veggie side dish andbest of allit even calls for a little bit of BACON!
Zippy Green Beans
- 1 can pumpkin
- 4 cups fresh or frozen green beans, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 bacon strips, diced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup white wine or apple juice
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons tarragon vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon cold water
Place beans in a saucepan and cover with water; bring to a boil. Cook, uncovered, for 8-10 minutes or until crisp-tender.
Meanwhile, in a large nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon to paper towels. Drain, reserving 1 teaspoon drippings. In the same skillet, saute onion until tender. Stir in the wine, sugar, vinegar and salt.
Combine cornstarch and cold water until smooth; add to the skillet. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Drain beans; top with onion mixture. Sprinkle with bacon; toss to coat.
Yield: 6 servings
At only 98 calories per serving, you can have seconds and not have to loosen your belt! From my family to yours, we give this tangy side dish 5 out of 5 "classic car tail fins!" Enjoy and have a very happy (and safe) holiday season!

Ho-Ho-Horror!
Since 1980, Christmas-themed horror and sci-fi movies have become rather commonplace...but before that, they were few, far between and either very good...or very cheesy. Name these seminal films.
1. (1945) In this anthology horror film that takes place in a farmhouse near London, guests tell tales of the supernatural. Sally O'Hara, played Sally Ann Howes, tells the spooky tale of meeting a ghost on Christmas. (Note: This film has been cited as the inspiration for future TV shows like "The Twilight Zone" and "Tales From the Crypt.")
2. (1964) Voldar and Lomas kidnap St. Nick and some kids. But there's an interplanetary happy ending!
3. (1972) This TV horror film featured an all-star cast: Sally Field, Jessica Walter, Julie Harris, Eleanor Parker and Walter Brennan in a story about an ailing man who summons his 4 daughters home for Christmas and asks him to kill his new wife.
4. (1972) This anthology film featured a segment starring Joan Collins as a woman who kills her husband on Christmas Eve and then has to deal with a serial killer dressed as Santa Claus.
5. (1974) This classic horror film is known for the quote: "Jess, the caller is in the house. The calls are coming from the house!"

Scroll to the bottom of the Mihmiverse Monthly for the answers.
