It's always more fun when you get to open your presents early, right? Well, this year the Mihmiverse is "presenting" its next cinematic gift a few days sooner than hinted at in the most recent episode of the Mihmiverse Monthly Audiocast!
SYNOPSIS Steve has gone missing and the new society he's built for his people has fallen into chaos and despair! Luckily, his loyal sidekick (and nephew) Stu knows EXACTLY where to find someone who can help locate his uncle...and help bring joy back to their planet! "The Mihmiverse Holiday Special" brings back every Mihmivite's favorite alien and a familiar cast of characters to go on a wild adventure, celebrate the holiday season, and pay homage to the granddaddy of genre holiday specials, "The Star Wars Holiday Special!"
For each $25.00 donation, all contributors will be entitled to having a single name of their choosing listed in the contributors section of the closing credits of the film, a customized, frame-able document certifying their participation in the program and one (1) copy of the finished film! Additional copies of the film and/or world premiere tickets may be pre-ordered as "add-ons" ($10 each) with the purchase of at least one credit.

Two quick bits of important info!
First, the world premiere date of the next great Mihmiverse film, "The Phantom Lake Kids in The Beast Walks Among Us," has been set for Wednesday, April 29th, 2020! Advance tickets will go on sale closer to the event date!
Second, we are completely sold out of 2019 Mihmiverse Mystery Boxes! If you were lucky enough to pick one up, they will go out in the mail early next week! Watch your mailboxes!

Are you someone who would prefer to own the films of Christopher R. Mihm digitally? If so, you're finally in luck!
Due to inescapable trends in home video preferences, we've gone ahead and created a Saint Euphoria Pictures / All for George ProductionsVimeo account through which you can now rent or download the Mihmiverse catalog!
Since this is brand new, we're going to be slowly rolling out the movies over the course of the next few months to get a feel for the process. To kick things off, we're offering the first (and some argue the BEST) Mihmiverse film, "The Monster of Phantom Lake!" AND, this version is the same ultra-high quality render used for the recent double-feature Blu-Ray releases!
For this design, writer/director Christopher R. Mihm decided to continue with the minimalistic approach he similarly took with the poster for his last film, "Queen of Snakes." The result is a poster with an exceedingly retro "look and feel" that highlights Mihmiverse Master Monster Maker Mitch Gonzales' creature design. In addition, the film's young stars, the "Phantom Lake Kids," feature prominently across the top.
David Mihm (who plays comedic troublemaker Butch, seen throughout in his signature "Davy Crockett Coonskin Cap") was particularly astonished when he saw the poster for the first time, excitedly proclaiming that he and his cast-mates "looked like superheroes!" We assume that from any red-blooded American kid, that can easily be considered the highest of praise!
Now that the poster is complete, we expect it to be available for purchase in our online storeSOON!
Editing of the "meat" of the film has been finished, but it still lacks opening and ending credits, something Mr. Mihm anticipates remedying by the end of this month. In the meantime, he is working on cutting a trailer and getting everything ready to start shooting the feature slated to be released AFTER this one ("That Which Lurks in the Dark") early next month!
Lastly, Mr. Mihm has preliminarily reached out to the Heights Theater about potential dates for the world premiere of "The Phantom Lake Kids in The Beast Walks Among Us." As of right now, we don't have any specifics except that it WILL be released in April 2020! Stay tuned...

"House of Ghosts" screened at the Joy Cinema in Tigard, OR last night and, thankfully, according to all accounts, everyone survived! The event was hosted by Derek M. Koch, the host of the best retro-monster-themed podcast on the internet, Monster Kid Radio, and luckily he made sure everyone in the crowd received their very own fear shield!

The "Queen of Snakes" world premiere was a SMASHING success!
It seems the assumption that the best time of year to release a Mihmiverse film is in the Spring is true because, for the first time in several years, a world premiere was completely sold out! In fact, the event was OVERSOLD because several advance ticket holders were unable to attend, thus freeing up their seats for the lucky few who purchased the paltry number of tickets available at the door.
By every metric, the world premiere of "Queen of Snakes" was a roaring (hissing?) success! Congratulations to the cast and crew on another fantastic addition to the ever-growing shared universe that is the Mihmiverse!

The newest Mihmiverse retro-tastic-monster movie, "Queen of Snakes," debuts this evening at the historic Heights Theater! A handful of tickets remain (and we often get a few last-minute cancellations) so, if you'd like to attend the event but didn't purchase advance tickets, join us! However, we highly recommend coming down BEFORE the doors open at 6:30 to ensure you snag one (or more) of the last few seats!
In addition to the main attraction, attendees will enjoy a program complete with hand-picked, era-appropriate newsreels, classic trailers, appearances by most (if not all) of the cast and crew, autographs, photo opportunities with the title creature, and a silent auction! With only one more day until the big world premiere of "Queen of Snakes," I want to thank you all for your continued support of the Mihmiverse! Without you, our friends, family, and fans, NONE of this would be possible!
If you plan to attend the premiere, it's important to note that this year's theme is (not surprisingly) SNAKES! We encourage everyone to dress up for the event and, if possible, incorporate the theme. It is absolutely not expected nor required...but it sure makes it more fun! AND, the world premiere being a "retro-styled" event, vintage looks are particularly encouraged!
There are still a handful of advance tickets available and they will continue to be on this site until tomorrow. Advance ticket sales have been VERY strong and we are getting close to being sold out. However, we will hold on to a small number of admissions to make sure a few are available at the door! I can't wait to see you all there!

Writer/director Christopher R. Mihm is proud to announce what he's calling a "companion venture" to his retro-styled filmmaking: the world's first permanent "indie micro drive-in!"
According to Mr. Mihm, the idea is to open a drive-in that only serves 10 to 20 cars a night. Every evening's program would be a double feature and consist of a classic film (specifically those meant to be seen at the drive-in!) paired with a Mihmiverse film! AND, not only can parking spots be reserved in advance, the theater will offer affordable season passes and special themed events! The concession stand will be fully stocked with old-fashioned treats and Uncle John's Burger Dogs, and decorated with a constantly rotating collection of historical Mihmiverse artifacts (props, costumes, etc.).
The Mihmiverse Drive-in Theater (name subject to change) is currently in the "serious planning" stage with Mr. Mihm scouting locations, researching permit needs, and creating a list of the movies he wants to see grace the "big-micro-drive-in" screen! Should everything work out just right, the theater should open some time in 2021!

Monsters of the Mihmiverse Trading Cards are back!
Back by popular demand, full sets of Monsters of the Mihmiverse trading cards are once again available! This series of cool collectibles consists of 25 cards (24 monster cards, one cover/checklist) and were personally designed by writer/director Christopher R. Mihm. AND, every full set includes one card hand-signed by actor Michael Kaiser, the man inside the creature suits of most of the iconic monsters of the Mihmiverse!
Mimicking classic trading cards like the "Mars Attacks" series from Topps, you'll find an image of a different Mihmiverse monster on the front of each card with a paragraph of unique information about that creature on the back.

The Mihmiverse is expanding AGAIN and this time specifically for the true fans!
We've just received word that writer/director Christopher R. Mihm is over halfway done with a script for ANOTHER movie to be made THIS YEAR (in addition to the currently-in-pre-production, "That Which Lurks in the Dark")!
SYNOPSIS: When a local man is suspected of having been transformed into a hideous monster, it's up to a scrappy gang of local kids (Danny & Evelyn Johnson, Butch, Chip, and their friend Billy Blue) to uncover the truth and save Phantom Lake County—and everyone in it—from certain doom in writer/director Christopher R. Mihm's tribute to the creature-features of the 1950s, the history of the Mihmiverse, and "Scooby Doo!"
According to Mr. Mihm, this film will follow Danny Johnson (last seen in 2015's "Danny Johnson Saves The World"), his sister Evelyn and three of their buddies on another adventure into the Mihmiverse. However, this one will be special in that it is being specifically designed to reference as much "Mihmiverse history" as possible. We have been assured we can expect appearances by a bevy of familiar faces, characters and locations! In fact, Mr. Mihm shared a single sentence from the script on the Mihmiverse Facebook page last night and it is a DOOZY!
"A familiar canoe approaches."
If that sentence alone doesn't thrill you by its exciting implications, we submit that nothing Mihmiverse-related ever will!
"The Phantom Lake Kids in The Beast Walks Among Us" is currently scripting with principal photography scheduled to begin in June. Should everything work out, it seems that 2020 will be a banner year for the 'verse, with potentially TWO features slated to be released next year!

On this special day thirteen years ago, "The Monster of Phantom Lake" held its world premiere at the Heights Theater to a near-sold-out crowd. As soon as it was released, the film began to receive positive press and, to this day, still earns great reviews and remains a perennial favorite. It continues to screen all over the world and has appeared in countless film festivals and earned numerous awards.
Dubbed "the little movie that could," "The Monster of Phantom Lake" is where the Mihmiverse officially began, introducing the ever-growing fan base to such staples as the Jackson family, "A-Rockin', A-Rollin', All the Way A-Ramblin'," the Canoe Cops, the "flashlight thing," and much, much more!
Just remember, without "The Monster of Phantom Lake," we would never have been introduced to this enduring and ever-expanding universe! So, don't forget to tell everyone you know "HAPPY MONSTER DAY" and encourage them to check out the entire Mihmiverse catalog!

As with all previous Mihmiverse premieres, the event will take place at the Heights Theater in Columbia Heights, MN. A scene in the film was even shot inside the auditorium!

Writer/director Christopher R. HELP US MAKE MIHMIVERSE BLU-RAYS!
One of the most common questions we receive here at SaintEuphoria.com is: "When will writer/director Christopher R. Mihm release Blu-Rays of his films?"
Manufacturing costs of Blu-Ray discs are considerably higher than standard-definition DVDs but, by comparison, DVDs suffer from a lack of video clarity and quality. Since we now live in a high definition world, it's time for fans to be given access to the best possible presentations of the films of the Mihmiverse! AND, even though the first six movies were shot in standard definition, higher quality, higher bitrate versions of the films DO exist, and no one besides the writer/director himself has ever seen them!
After FINALLY finding the right software to handle the authoring of such discs and a manufacturer with the perfect price point, Mr. Mihm has decided to go forward with officially releasing the first 12 films as special edition double-feature Blu-Rays!
BUT, we need your help to make it happen! We are now running a crowd-funding campaign specifically to pre-sell 25 full sets (6 discs, 12 movies) for a discounted price! If you're interested in ordering a set and doing your part to make this a reality, visit the campaign's page and PRE-ORDER NOW!

As of 3:03pm (CST), the draft edit of "Queen of Snakes" is COMPLETE! Mihmiverse movie #14 is done!
Now, writer/director Christopher R. Mihm has to double check the edit, which basically involves watching it repeatedly and making small tweaks and changes along the way!
